The University of Bern annually trains and educates three Polymechanics apprentices (Polymechaniker*in EFZ). The apprenticeship is offered at the Physics Institute as well as the ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research and the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The mechanical workshop at the Physics Institute is an integral part of the space research activities of the University of Bern. The workshop and its apprentices contribute their longstanding and newly acquired technical knowledge to the instruments developed by CSH and WP.
