Research

CHEOPS detects a new planetary "disorder"

First the rocky planets, close to their star, then the gas giants: this is the order in which scientists have conceived of the hierarchy of planets. The discovery of a new planet around the star LHS 1903 by CHEOPS is now challenging this theory.

Grants & Awards

University of Bern involved in two new NCCRs

UniBE will direct a new National Centre of Competence in Research together with ETHZ. UniBE researchers (incl. CSH) are also involved in the NCCR Genesis, which will investigate the origin of life and the possibility of life in the universe.

CSH Code of Conduct

The CSH strives to be a research Center with a respectful, inclusive workplace culture and a focus on aspects of sustainability, in alignment with the values of UniBE. To achieve this, a Code of Conduct was approved on January 28, 2026.
