CSH Fellow Dr. Marrick Braam receives SNSF Ambizione Grant

With his project “Prebiotic Chemistry in Exoplanet Environments,” Marrick Braam is one of 93 selected recipients of the 2025 Ambizione Grant, an SNSF early-career funding scheme. This grant funds his research for the next four years.

Asteroid impact shaped the appearance of Mars’ moon Deimos

An UniBE led research team used high-resolution computer simulations and comparisons with the latest images from the ESA space probe Hera to show that a single asteroid impact shaped the Martian moon Deimos and created its smooth, dusty surface.

Every 3 years the small body community meets for the ACM conference, where it is tradition to honor members of the community for their contributions to the field with the naming of asteroids in their name. Four CSH members were honored in 2026.
