On Thursday, October 02, 2025, the University of Bern welcomed ESA representatives for a tour of the space research facilities here at CSH and WP at the Exact Sciences building, followed by a career event for students of the University of Bern. The interest to see what ESA has to offer was high among the students.
ESA Career Coordinator Andrew Kane gave an extensive overview of the opportunities at the European Space Agency, highlighting career paths for students in the sciences as well as non-scientific jobs in fields such as outreach, admin and law. ESA's entry-level programs span a wide array of work areas, offering a large variety of different career paths for the next generation of professionals.
At the following apéro, students were able to chat with the eleven ESA representatives, discover what they do for the Space Agency and get their professional insight into a career at ESA.
