The Center for Space and Habitability (CSH) offers outreach events and activities for the public

Our events include celebrations of milestones of space missions (Rosetta, CHEOPS, ExoMars, etc) to public lectures by eminent scientists and activities for schools and children. More information on upcoming and past events are found below (and also in German).

CHEOPS Launch Event

The space telescope CHEOPS is scheduled to begin its journey into space on Tuesday, December 17th on board a Soyuz rocket from the European Space Agency (ESA) in Kourou, French Guiana. The University of Bern invites you to the CHEOPS Launch Event with a live stream from Kourou and space talks: Tuesday, December 17, 2019, 9.15 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the building of the «Exakten Wissenschaften», Sidlerstrasse 5, 3012 Bern. Registration via the event's page.
